What You Need To Consider When Purchasing Direct Vent Fireplaces
Unlike the older types of fireplaces that needed to be built within a brick, concrete or mortar wall attached to a chimney, the Direct Vent Fireplaces can be installed within a wooden framed wall. They can be vented out of these wood framed walls because they burn so efficiently. This is a major advantage over the older types because it gives the consumer more flexibility on where they would like to put their Direct Vent Fireplaces in their home. These fireplaces also have the benefit of not creating any type of pollution as they give off very few particles in the air.
Because these Direct Vent Fireplaces are gas burning, they are much easier to use than the wood burning vent fireplaces because the consumer does not have to deal with purchasing, hauling, or chopping up the wood that is needed. You don't have to constantly maintain the fire or even work to get it started. Many people think that these types of Direct Vent Fireplaces will not look like the real thing, but if you visit the many different manufacturer websites on the Internet and view what they have to offer, you will find that their fireplaces are very realistic.
These manufacturers include Aladdin Hearth, Blaze King Industries, Fireplace Manufacturing, Heat-N-Glo Fireplace, Heatilator, Majestic Products, Superior Fireplace, as well as many others. When shopping for your fireplace, you need to make sure that it is lab-certified by an organization such as AGA, which is the American Gas Association. This shows that the Direct Vent Fireplaces are up to the standard codes of safety. The Direct Vent Fireplaces that you will find will be in many different sizes, styles, finishes, as well as many other options.
Heat-N-Glo Fireplace is a very popular manufacturer that supplies many different types of Direct Vent Fireplaces such as their model 6000C. This fireplace will give the warmth that you need without altering the condition of the air around you. It has a sealed combustion chamber that will help bring in the fresh air from the outdoors and push out any bad particles to the outside. This fireplace has the capacity of 30,000 btu's and has a 50 percent flame and heat turndown. The ember bed of the fireplace has LED lighting in order to give the perfect ambient affect as well as accent lighting. It has the IntelliFire Plus Ignition System which has IPI capability. This allows these Direct Vent Fireplaces to conserve fuel when the unit is not is use and save the consumer money.
